Clean, pure water is a necessity for all fish. No equipment is more effective in helping create ideal water conditions as a Reverse Osmosis (RO) unit combined with deionisation. These units filter out up to 99% of chemicals found in tap water by forcing tap water through a semi-permeable membrane which removes 90 – 99% of tap water impurities, any remaining salts are removed by the mixed bed resin. The result is water that is free of minerals and other contaminants.

Our deionisation filter takes the RO unit to a higher level of filtration. It is an excellent selection for reef enthusiasts and other serious aquarists, especially those who live in areas with exceptionally high levels of phosphates contaminants in their tap water. Our unit includes: sediment pre-filter, carbon pre-filters and TFC RO membrane and a deionisation (DI) post filter in a clear housing. The post deioniser removes the small percentage of contaminants which the membrane could not remove to give a TDS reading of 0mg/ℓ.
